I think the most important points in these videos that we should focus on for our capstone project are as follows:
1) Intelligence is diverse, dynamic, and distinct.
2) Most learning happens in groups.
3) Creativity is as important in education as literacy.
4) Shakespeare was once in someone else's English class.
5) 2 assumptions from the past that have been proved wrong: (a) do not focus on what you like as a child, but focus on what "you're supposed to" in order to get a job; (b) a degree means everything: if you get a degree, then you'll get a job.
6) The brain is a computer and we are using software that was designed 2,400 years ago.
7) Creativity must have value. You cannot be creative for the sake of being different, but you need to think laterally and take a different path that moves and changes with the typical/expected/ordinary path. You will take a different path but still target the same objective.
8) By using the 6 hats, one is able to examine the benefits, dangers, and alternatives of an idea.
9) Our education system currently educates us away from creativity because it discourages us from preparing to be wrong... mistakes = bad grades = punishment. If you do things the same way and learn one way of completing them then less mistakes will be made and there will be no creativity or originality as a consequence.

So, the project should focus on creativity, showing employers something in our portfolio that has value, and should show a passion for a topic -- preferably one that helps others.

I agree , I’ve been using Dropbox for 9 months now and its amazing. I backup my documents folder and have put a symlink to my desktop so I have ready access to my current files. It’s also really handy being able to access all your information when you are out and about using the iphone app where you can share files with other people.
There are also lots of info out there on how you can use it to synchronise preferences and setting for your favourite apps.
Here’s my referral if anyone wants an extra 250MB
:D
